It was a proper cat-fight when Central Academy duked it out with Anson on Tuesday. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Bearcats 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted against the Bearcats since April 6, 2022.

With the win, Central Academy broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-8. As for Anson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Central Academy has already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Pine Lake Prep on the 3rd. Hopefully Anson payed attention to the Cougars' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
