Softball Recap: Basha's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Basha had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Mountain View Toros by a score of 6-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-0 back in February.

Brie Fynan looked comfortable as she tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aniyah Jaiman, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Addy Kimberlin, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Basha was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain View only posted a batting average of .333.

Basha's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Basha will take on Perry at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain View, they will challenge Skyline at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyline has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.71 runs per game on average), something Mountain View will no doubt try to take advantage of.
