Basketball Recap: Ascension Catholic Takes Down Northwood in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Ascension Catholic had no trouble coming through when it counted. They beat the Northwood Gators on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 48-44. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-44 last Wednesday.

Ascension Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points over those games. Northwood is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.

As of now, neither Ascension Catholic nor Northwood have any future games scheduled.
