Basketball Recap: Bearden Makes It 17 in a Row at Home

On Thursday, Bearden faced Morristown-Hamblen East in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Bearden Bulldogs walked away with a 64-52 win over the Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Hurricanes last Monday, they had to take a 60-58 defeat.

Despite the loss, Morristown-Hamblen East still got an impressive performance from Hannah Hall, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. The contest was Hall's fifth in a row with at least 16 points. Ella Wampler was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Bearden pushed their record up to 26-4 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Morristown-Hamblen East, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-6.
