Volleyball Recap: Northwest Whitfield Triumphs

Northwest Whitfield won the last time they faced Southeast Whitfield County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bruins came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.

While Northwest Whitfield won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 28-26.

Jenna Quinn paced Northwest Whitfield's offense, picking up ten kills. Quinn got some help from Megan Torbett and her 22 assists.

Despite the loss, Southeast Whitfield County still got an impressive performance from Dareen Mughrabi, who had seven digs and two aces.

The victory got Northwest Whitfield back to even at 2-2. As for Southeast Whitfield County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Northwest Whitfield will take on Christian Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southeast Whitfield County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Chattooga on the 14th.
