Soccer Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Roosevelt fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Saugerties on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Sawyers by a score of 2-1. Roosevelt were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Saugerties earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

Roosevelt's goal came courtesy of Casey D'Alessandro, who's now up to 13 this season.

Roosevelt now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Saugerties, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Coming up, Roosevelt will host Goshen Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Saugerties, they will venture away from home to face off against Marlboro Central at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
