Soccer Game Preview: Cinco Ranch vs. Tompkins

The Cinco Ranch Cougars will square off against the Tompkins Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cinco Ranch's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cinco Ranch challenged Paetow on Friday. Cinco Ranch and Paetow finished up their game with a 1-1 draw. The Cougars had to tread lightly for part of the matchup as Ayoub Bennis and Samuel Perafan were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Cinco Ranch's goal came courtesy of Roan Bruinsma, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Tompkins entered their contest against Morton Ranch on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Tompkins took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Morton Ranch. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Falcons came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Mavericks are ranked 493rd).

Cinco Ranch's draw gives them a new season record of 3-4-3. As for Tompkins, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2-2.
