Basketball Recap: Berea-Midpark Falls Short of Glenoak in the Playoffs

Berea-Midpark and GlenOak squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Berea-Midpark had to settle for second. They took a 91-78 hit to the loss column at the hands of the GlenOak Golden Eagles. The Titans' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Despite the defeat, Berea-Midpark saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nick Reece almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine assists. The contest was Reece's 20th in a row with at least 16 points. Tyson Clay was another key player, going 6-for-12 to rack up 16 points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Berea-Midpark's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for GlenOak, they pushed their record up to 12-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Berea-Midpark does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for GlenOak, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 78-61 defeat against St. Ignatius on the 1st.
