Basketball Game Preview: Port Jervis Raiders vs. Liberty Indians

The Port Jervis Raiders and the Liberty Indians will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Port Jervis, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Port Jervis didn't have too much trouble with Monticello as they won 42-24. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Meanwhile, Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Monticello.

Port Jervis' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Port Jervis didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Liberty in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 36-31 victory. Will Port Jervis repeat their success, or does Liberty have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
