Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sylacauga walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Briarwood Christian Lions on Monday, sneaking past 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Aggies in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

Natalee Deason spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Sylacauga secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Kinley Hathcock, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Sylacauga's win bumped their record up to 12-17. As for Briarwood Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17-1.

As of now, neither Sylacauga nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
