Basketball Game Preview: Unity Christian Knights vs. Galesburg Christian Lions

The Unity Christian Knights will take on the Galesburg Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Tuesday, Unity Christian came up short against Rivermont Collegiate and fell 51-41. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Graham Foust, who went 6 of 15 en route to 15 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Nathan Woessner, who posted eight points and 13 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Galesburg Christian lost to Calvary Christian Academy at home by a 64-49 margin on Tuesday.

Unity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Galesburg Christian, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Unity Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Galesburg Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 55-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Unity Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
