Volleyball Game Preview: Gibraltar Vikings vs. Southern Door Eagles

Gibraltar is 2-8 against Southern Door since October of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Gibraltar came up short against Sturgeon Bay and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 23-25, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Southern Door had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Storm.

Southern Door was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-17, 22-25, 25-20, 15-7.

Gibraltar's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Southern Door, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 12-10.
