Basketball Game Preview: Bolles Bulldogs vs. Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles

The Bolles Bulldogs will square off against the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bolles is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season.

Bolles is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Bishop Snyder on Tuesday. Bolles fell 59-47 to Bishop Snyder. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cardinals 14-9 in the first quarter.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kaden Ferguson, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mac Verlander, who posted 11 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Episcopal School of Jacksonville). They breezed by Wolfson to the tune of 78-37 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Bolles, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Bolles might still be hurting after the 59-34 loss they got from Episcopal School of Jacksonville when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Bolles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
