Soccer Recap: Piper Takes a Loss

Piper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Coconut Creek Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Bengals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 485th, while the Cougars are ranked 147th).

Piper's goal came courtesy of Judley Poitevien, who's now up to four this season.

Piper's loss dropped their record down to 5-12-1. As for Coconut Creek, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2-2.

Piper will head out to face off against West Broward at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Piper is facing West Broward at the right time seeing as West Broward is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Coconut Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
