Zakiya Taylor and Demiyah Blackman did most of the damage at the plate: Taylor went 2-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI, while Blackman scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Jachelle Ridley was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Marshall County's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Cornersville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Marshall County will head out on the road to challenge Lawrence County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cornersville, they are on the road again on Wednesday to play Lexington at 7:00 p.m.
