Softball Recap: Colby Comes Up Short

If Colby was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Goodland last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs on Tuesday, falling 14-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Monarchs: they've now lost four in a row.

Ryler Carter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Myka Nolan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Colby's loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Thomas More Prep-Marian beat the Eagles by a score of 8-4 later that day.
