With a playoff win on the line, Andover rose to the challenge  on Thursday. They blew past the Duluth East Greyhounds 12-2. Considering the Huskies have won ten contests by more than six  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Megan Surgenor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Surgenor was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Chloe Brown, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Aurora Taft, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double.
 Andover  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in four consecutive  matchups.
Andover's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Duluth East, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.
 Andover didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  3-0  win against Blaine on the 23rd. Duluth East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
