After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rosedale Christian Academy, Springdale Prep was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Carroll Christian 70-43. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Carroll Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Joelle Mathews and Joanna Mathews. Joelle dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 boards, while Joanna posted 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That was a full 41.9% of Carroll Christian's points, marking the 14th time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

With the victory, Springdale Prep broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 19-17. As for Carroll Christian, they dropped their record down to 9-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springdale Prep will head out to square off against Mercersburg Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carroll Christian has already played their next game (against Harford Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
