Basketball Recap: Manhattan Village Academy Takes a Loss

Manhattan Village Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 74-33 loss at the hands of Roosevelt. The Silver Hawks were probably out for revenge after losing 84-52 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Manhattan Village Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Roosevelt, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manhattan Village Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Urban Assembly Global Commerce at 4:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Roosevelt also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Baruch College at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Roosevelt knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Baruch College likes a good challenge.
