After both having extra time off, the Crown Point Bulldogs and the Lake Central Indians will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Crown Point extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Elisabetta Bedoy. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Michigan City on Thursday thanks in part to Bedoy, who had five digs and four aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Crown Point was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-10, 25-8.
Crown Point's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cailin Duncan led the charge by getting 17 assists and three aces. Another player making a difference was Hayden Klimowicz, who had five digs and five aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Crown Point was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Lake Central got the win against La Porte on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.
While Lake Central won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 29-27.
Lake Central's win came from a few key players Crown Point will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brooklyn Barth, who had 15 digs and four assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Steliga, who had 25 assists and six digs.
Crown Point's victory bumped their record up to 26-3. As for Lake Central, their win bumped their record up to 19-10.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Crown Point hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 4.4 blocks per game. It's a different story for Lake Central, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 blocks. Given Crown Point's sizable advantage in that area, the Indians will need to find a way to close that gap.
Crown Point beat Lake Central 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
