Mercer is 9-1 against West Middlesex since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mustangs will look to defend their home pitch against the Big Reds at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Mercer fell victim to Wilmington and their airtight defense on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greyhounds.

Meanwhile, West Middlesex also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 8-0 to Hickory on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, West Middlesex can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while Hickory are ranked 153rd).

West Middlesex's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Mercer, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-4.

Everything went Mercer's way against West Middlesex when the teams last played on September 8th, as Mercer made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Big Reds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
