Vincennes Rivet hadn't done well against Lawrenceville recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Patriots narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Indians 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for the Patriots as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Vincennes Rivet saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody (Bo) Shots, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Vincennes Rivet and bumps their season record up to 10-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Lawrenceville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.
