After only two runs in their last match, Porter-Gaud made sure to put some runs up on the board against Academic Magnet on Thursday. The Porter-Gaud Cyclones walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Academic Magnet Raptors. The Cyclones' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Porter-Gaud's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Academic Magnet, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Porter-Gaud will square off against Pinewood Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Academic Magnet, they will face off against Andrews at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Andrews' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Academic Magnet's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
