Basketball Recap: Rosman Triumphs

On Tuesday, the Rosman Tigers were able to grind out a solid win over the Summit Charter Bears, taking the game 35-28. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Rosman can attribute much of their success to Makynna McDonald, who posted six points along with ten rebounds and three steals. McDonald is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Zoey Owen was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Rosman smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Despite the defeat, Summit Charter had strong showings from Olivia Reeves, who had 16 points, and Emma Reeves, who posted eight points.

Rosman is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. As for Summit Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Rosman will head out to square off against Avery County at 6:30 p.m. on December 17th. As for Summit Charter, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Swain County at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
