Softball Recap: Norte Vista Braves vs. La Sierra Eagles

Norte Vista extended their losing streak to ten on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 2-16-1 in the process. They lost 22-5 to the La Sierra Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on April 11th.

Norte Vista saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angelina Mercado, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Alexa Cortes also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

As for La Sierra, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On La Sierra's side, they got a massive performance out of Rose Johnson, who got three hits. What's more, Johnson posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Barbara Roman, who got three hits.

While Norte Vista had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
