Basketball Recap: St. Charles Takes a Loss

St. Charles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Bishop Hartley Hawks, falling 58-31. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Hawks are ranked 13th).

St. Charles' loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Bishop Hartley, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-3.

Looking ahead, St. Charles will take on Grove City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Charles is facing Grove City at the right time seeing as Grove City is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Bishop Hartley, they will venture away from home to square off against Groveport-Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Bishop Hartley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.
