Softball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 24-1 to the Laurens Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-2 on Thursday.

Southside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Miller, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. That hit was Miller's first of the season.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Laurens, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Southside will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Thornwell at 6:00 p.m. on March 26th. As for Laurens, they have already played their next matchup, a 7-2 loss against Clinton on the 14th.
