Football Recap: Springstead Skates Past Classical Prep with Ease

After only seven points in their last contest, Springstead made sure to put some points up on the board against Classical Prep on Tuesday. The Springstead Eagles breezed past the Classical Prep Lions to the tune of 36-6. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 21 point advantage.

A big part of Springstead's win came down to the chemistry between Brooke Smith and her top target Willow Oliver. Smith picked up 45 receiving yards and one touchdown while Oliver gained 48 total yards and two touchdowns. What's more, Smith racked up 35 passing yards, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Springstead and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coincidentally, Springstead and Classical Prep will both be playing Central the next time they take the field. Springstead will host Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Classical Prep will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
