Somerset had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past the New Richmond Tigers 17-7. With that win, the Spartans brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Somerset got a massive performance out of Nolan Teske, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Teske continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Carson Belisle was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Somerset kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.

Somerset's record is now 11-4. As for New Richmond, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Somerset will square off against Altoona at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Richmond, they will take on Hudson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3.6, the Raiders 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
