Soccer Recap: Hopewell's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Hopewell took a five-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Colonial Heights, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Devils never let the Colonials get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Thursday. Jeremiah Mackin had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Hopewell.

The victory made it two in a row for Hopewell and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Colonial Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2-1.

Looking ahead, Hopewell will square off against Meadowbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Colonial Heights, they are taking a road trip to square off against Thomas Dale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colonial Heights will be up against Thomas Dale's rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
