Meanwhile, Puckett greeted the New Year with with a 66-49 win over Pisgah.

Puckett's win came from a few key players Pelahatchie will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Marcus Parker, who posted 31 points. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Russell, who had 19 points.

Pelahatchie's record is now 15-2. As for Puckett, their record is now 8-9.
