Baseball Recap: Sequoyah Comes Up Short

Sequoyah lost against Loudon on April 8th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Chiefs fell just short of the Redskins by a score of 3-2. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sequoyah saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tristan Tipton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Sequoyah's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Loudon, their win bumped their record up to 12-16.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sequoyah will face off against rival Lenoir City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Loudon is set to challenge their familiar foe Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
