Pickens came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with 12 straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers. For the Blue Flame, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Lancers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Pickens never let Legion Collegiate Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13, 25-14.

Pickens' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pickens will host Blue Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Davidson Day at 6:30 p.m. on September 9.
