Volleyball Recap: Republic County Takes a Loss

Republic County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clifton-Clyde Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

Kymry Hoesli paced Republic County's offense, picking up eight kills. Hoesli got some help from Tallyn Melton and her 14 assists. Melton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Republic County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Clifton-Clyde, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-12.

Republic County has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Blue Valley on the 27th. As for Clifton-Clyde, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Bennington on the 27th.
