Baseball Recap: Rowland Takes a Loss

Rowland fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Covina on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Colts by a score of 4-2. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 7-2 to the Colts when the teams met back in March of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rowland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Dwyer, who went 2-for-4 with one double. Angel Canal also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Rowland has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Covina, their record is now 12-13.

While Rowland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
