Baseball Recap: Reading Comes Up Short

Reading fell victim to Union City and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 17-0 to the Chargers. The loss continues a trend for the Rangers in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost five in a row.

Reading saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Wright, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Reading's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Union City, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Reading will head out on the road to challenge Quincy at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union City, they will square off against Three Rivers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
