Fairview came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Phelps, but Tyler Weddington wouldn't allow it. The Phelps Hornets took their match on Friday with ease, bagging an 85-50 victory over the Fairview Eagles thanks in part to Weddington, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 24 rebounds. His evening made it 16 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Ethan Fields, who went 6 for 9 en route to 16 points and eight boards. Those eight rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Phelps is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.3 points per game. As for Fairview, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Phelps wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 88-71 defeat against Raceland on the 25th. Fairview has also already played their next match, a 66-41 loss against Glenwood on the 25th.
