Basketball Recap: Mounds Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oilton last Wednesday, Mounds came back down to earth. The Mounds Golden Eagles were dealt a 51-15 loss at the hands of the Summit Christian Academy Eagles on Friday. The Golden Eagles have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Mounds' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Summit Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mounds will challenge Haskell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will square off against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Summit Christian Academy is facing Liberty at the right time seeing as Liberty is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
