Football Recap: Holyoke Purple Knights vs. Chicopee Comp Colts
Holyoke was the 18-13 winner over Chicopee Comp when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Holyoke Purple Knights took a 23-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chicopee Comp Colts on Friday.
Holyoke wouldn't let Chicopee Comp keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. Holyoke can thank Matt Dumoulin and Avantaey Rivera for forcing all of them.
Holyoke's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Chicopee Comp, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holyoke will take on Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Central's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Chicopee Comp, they will face off against Westfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chicopee Comp is facing Westfield at the right time seeing as Westfield is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
