Basketball Recap: Seacrest Country Day Stingrays vs. Naples Golden Eagles
The Seacrest Country Day Stingrays stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 74-36 win over Naples at home. The win was familiar territory for Seacrest Country Day who now have seven in a row.
Seacrest Country Day got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ty'Nazia Smith out in front who scored 20 points along with six steals. Smith hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. Dragana ?cepanovic was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Seacrest Country Day's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points per game. As for Naples, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-15.
Seacrest Country Day will be playing at home against the Shamrocks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Donahue Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Stingrays are ranked 74th). As for Naples, they will head out on the road to take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Barron Collier has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
