Baseball Game Preview: Brookville Raiders vs. Cranberry Area Berries

The Brookville Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Cranberry Area Berries at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Brookville is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Brookville managed to slip by St. Marys the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Raiders lost 6-0 to the Flying Dutch on Friday.

Brookville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Kalgren, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, while it was Cranberry Area who put the first runs on the board last Saturday, it was West Middlesex who put up more. The Berries came up short against the Big Reds, falling 13-6. The Berries have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alex McIntyre made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Brookville now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Cranberry Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Brookville's way against Cranberry Area in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Brookville made off with a 9-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
