Baseball Recap: Shenandoah Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Shenandoah barely beat Muncie Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raiders blew past the Bearcats 13-3 on Thursday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Kaden Randolph looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Drew Fredenburg was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Osenbaugh, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Shenandoah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Muncie Central only posted an OBP of .269.

Shenandoah's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Muncie Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shenandoah will be taking part in a tournament against Knightstown at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Muncie Central, they will head out to square off against Lapel at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
