Recap: Thunder Ridge Longhorns vs. St. John's/Tipton Catholic Blujays
The Thunder Ridge Longhorns lost against the St. John's/Tipton Catholic Blujays back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Thunder Ridge might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 78-46 to the Blujays, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. It was the first time this season that Thunder Ridge let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Thunder Ridge still got an impressive performance from Kamryn Rietzke, who scored 19 points. That was a full 41.3% of Thunder Ridge's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jennifer Cochrun, who scored six points.
Thunder Ridge's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4. As for St. John's/Tipton Catholic, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.
Thunder Ridge will face off against the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Sylvan-Lucas is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. St. John's/Tipton Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
