Baseball Recap: Harrison County's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Harrison County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the George Rogers Clark Cardinals. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Thorobreds/Fillies also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Brian Vaughn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Jashon Lewis was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Boston Reynolds, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Harrison County's win bumped their record up to 33-5-1. As for George Rogers Clark, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-15.

As of now, neither Harrison County nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
