Volleyball Recap: Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Comes Up Short

Warren-Alvarado-Oslo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Sacred Heart Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ponies of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17, 25-8.

When it comes to explaining why Warren-Alvarado-Oslo lost, don't look at Olivia Winge. Despite the final result, she had 13 assists and seven digs. Winge has been hot, having posted 13 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sacred Heart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Izzy Cwikla, who had 17 digs. That's the most digs Cwikla has posted over her last six contests. Kayla Benson was another key player, getting nine digs.

Warren-Alvarado-Oslo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Sacred Heart, they pushed their record up to 24-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Warren-Alvarado-Oslo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] on the 2nd. As for Sacred Heart, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against East Grand Forks on the 7th.
