Recap: Ford Panthers vs. Kaufman Lions
The Ford Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Kaufman, falling 57-23. Ford has struggled against Kaufman recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Kaylee Wrenn continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kaufman, scoring 32 points along with six assists and six steals. Wrenn set a new season high mark in blocks with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillie Reven, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Ford has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Kaufman, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-11.
Ford will take on Community at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kaufman, they will head out on the road to face off against Caddo Mills at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Caddo Mills will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 893rd, while Kaufman is ranked 373rd).
