Softball Recap: Berkley Comes Up Short

Berkley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seaholm/Groves Maples. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Maples apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

Berkley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-22-1. As for Seaholm/Groves, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Berkley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-6 loss against Groves on the 20th. As for Seaholm/Groves, they will head out to square off against Adams at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Highlanders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.85 runs per game on average), something the Maples will no doubt try to take advantage of.
