Softball Recap: Redwood Christian Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Redwood Christian's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miramonte Matadors on Thursday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Matadors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Redwood Christian got a good showing from Angelina Dorris, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Dorris has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

Redwood Christian is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Miramonte, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Redwood Christian will host Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Miramonte, they are taking a road trip to face off against Dublin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Dublin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
