Recap: Gospel Light Christian vs. Alamance Christian Warriors
Gospel Light Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 65-20 win over Alamance Christian at home. Gospel Light Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 24 points or more this season.
Gospel Light Christian was led to victory by Noelle Nelson and Brooklyn Miller. Nelson scored 17 points along with nine steals, while Miller scored 20 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Jo Church, who scored five points along with 15 rebounds and seven blocks.
Gospel Light Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Alamance Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gospel Light Christian will take on Liberty Preparatory Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Preparatory Christian's defense has only allowed 28.9 points per game this season, so Gospel Light Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. Alamance Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Triad Baptist Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th.
