Clinton won the last time they faced Cumberland Gap and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Dragons put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 14-4 win. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Clinton pushed their record up to 17-5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cumberland Gap, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Clinton is set to square off against their familiar foe Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Dragons 3, the Patriots 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Cumberland Gap will challenge rival Anderson County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
